Submit your late-breaking abstract today! 

 

We’re inviting innovative AI projects from the UK and globally to submit late-breaking abstract submissions for presentation at the Global AI Conference. Your work will be showcased as part of our poster gallery and contribute to the conference’s rich programme of research, innovation and the latest developments in AI. 

Abstract categories: 

  • AI education and research - proof of concept or AI in development, technical advances, teaching approaches or pre-clinical testing 

  • Transforming practice and leadership - pilot or test data on implmentation of AI into clinical practice, clinical feedback or patient perspectives 

  • Risk management and compliance - projects around governance, compliance and/or ethics and societal impact 

  • AI vigilance - post-implementation monitoring, real world performance evaluation, health economic evaluation 

  • General/other - projects outside of the above

Eligibility 

We welcome submissions from members and non-members, including allied healthcare professionals, members of other Royal Societies and associations, and professionals from non-radiology specialties. 

People's Choice Award
People's Choice Award Winner 2025  
We are excited to introduce our People's Choice Award. Physical poster displays at the Global AI conference will automatically be entered, and attendees joining us in-person will vote for the best poster. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your work to a wider audience and and strengthen your professional network.

The winner will be announced on our social media channels and on the Global AI Conference website after the event. Entrants will also be eligible to win the People's Choice cash prize of £100. 

 

Important notes: 

  • Abstracts must be submitted using the online form by Thursday 26 March 2026, 23:59 (GMT) 

  • Abstracts must report new or recent projects  

  • Authors cannot use the late breaking abstract competition to update an abstract submitted in the main call for abstracts 

  • Authors will receive an email confirmation on receipt of their submission. Please note that no changes will be accepted after the late-breaking submission deadline. Please ensure all information is correct and all authors are listed when submitting.  

  • Entrants will be notified on Thursday 30 April 2026  if their abstracts have been accepted for display at the conference. 

  • All abstracts are to be displayed at the conference as a poster and at least one named author must be in attendance. Please ensure a place at the conference in person is secured by Friday 15 May 2026, 23:59 BST. 
     

In-person poster displays 
 
Abstracts will be displayed in a dedicated area in the exhibition hall, where posters will be placed on traditional poster boards, providing a space where you can share and discuss your project with your peers.  

  • Poster size must be A0 size 841mm(w) x 1189mm(h) to fit the board provided. 
  • Posters layout must be portrait orientation. 
  • Posters will be fixed to the boards with Velcro which will be provided on arrival. 
  • It is not permitted to include the RCR logo or crest on the poster. Any poster containing the RCR logo will not be displayed or published. 
  • Posters should be printed and brought to conference by presenters. There are no onsite printing facilities. 
  • Setting up and taking down times will be advised prior to the conference. 
  • Any posters left at the venue will be disposed of.  

Electronic poster displays 

  • All abstracts will be displayed on SciGens website to be viewed by our virtual delegates and accessed post event for 30 days. 

  • The RCR logo or crest must not be displayed on or included on the physical poster or e-poster image. Any physical poster or e-poster containing the RCR logo will not be displayed or published. 

  • A PDF of the accepted e-Poster must be submitted to the SciGen abstract submission website by Friday 15 May 2026. Failure to provide a PDF file will result in the abstract not being displayed and therefore withdrawn from the competition. Please note that if invited to submit an e-Poster, your name and email address will be shared with our external provider SciGen.
