Thank you to everyone who made the inaugural RCR Global AI Conference 2025, in partnership with the NHS, a resounding success!
We welcomed and brought together:
- Over 1,000 attendees from 54 countries, representing a wide range of clinical specialties, joined us in-person and online
- We featured 34 insightful sessions delivered by over 70 leading experts
- We welcomed 37 sponsors and exhibitors and partnered with 30 global healthcare organisations
- Showcased 97 abstract posters demonstrating the latest research and innovation in AI - now available to read in the RCR Open Access Journal.
Our impact was amplified by 533 pieces of press coverage across the two-days, with widespread coverage in national broadsheets, two write-ups in the BMJ and multiple broadcasts across the Today programme, Sky News, LBC News and BBC News.
Visits from representatives of the Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrat parties have already resulted in parliamentary questions, further meeting requests, and we have forged valuable new connections with policy advisors, advancing our work in AI in radiology and oncology.
MPs who visited included:
• Chi Onwurah MP, Chair of the Science, Innovation and Technology Select Committee
• Andrew George MP, Member of the Health and Social Care Select Committee
• Lord Markham, Shadow Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology in the Lords
• Caroline Nokes MP, Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons
• Clive Jones MP, MP for Wokingham, Leading the National Cancer Plan Private Members Bill
• Victoria Collins MP, Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Science, Innovation and Technology
We’re thrilled that participant feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
“The quality of the speakers was excellent, and the conference overall seemed to galvanise
delegates around working together to overcome barriers to making the most of the opportunities
that AI presents in radiology and elsewhere, whilst developing a fuller understanding of the risks
and mitigations that need to be put in place”
“Excellent because the content was spot on and multi-disciplinary.
The stream classification was excellent and pragmatic.”
“Great format for sessions with plenty of discussion time. Excellent choice of topics and speakers”
“Amazing broad and inspiring content in a fast-evolving space.
As a GP it was exactly what I had hoped and more”
“Wide variety of topics covered. Flexibility to ask questions and revisit other lectures.
Online platform was excellent, and way exceeded my expectations”
“10/10”
We hope you found the conference insightful and inspiring, with opportunities for valuable discussions and collaboration. We look forward to seeing you at another event soon.
